WWA MANCHESTER

Well it's been a long time since I posted on here, so I'm sorry for that! So here's a review for the One Direction-Where We Are Tour from Manchester on the 31st of May.

The opening act was 5 seconds of summer, they opened for one directon last year and they didn't fail to impress. The band were full of energy, humor and general appreciation for the crowd for turning up and helping 'fulfil their dreams' as they put it. They were bang on time which is always a good thing as people had been there waiting since 6 that morning to get into the arena so it didn't keep them waiting any longer. If they tour at some point I will 100% be getting tickets because I love 5sos so much ngl.

During the change over they had music videos playing on the big screen which kept the audience entertained and added to the vibe. Then the music videos stopped and a playlist started playing which I think was the same one from the previous tour (Take Me Home Tour) which was actually kind of emotional to realise how far the boys had actually come. Also it pretty amazing seeing 60,000 people doing the Macarena in sync with each other.

When One Direction came on they were full of life and energy which got the crowd going even more, never in my life have i seen so many screaming girls..me being one of them but still. They preformed songs of their new album, Midnight Memories, their previous album, Take Me Home and their first album, Up All Night. In this tour there was less crowd interaction than the previous tours, there were no twitter questions and the boys didn't mess around with each other as much and there was less banter between the group. Niall, Harry and Liam seemed to be the most involved within the concert, saying all the thank yous and pretty much pouring their hearts out to us, i think Louis did say thank you but it was brief whilst Zayn let the other members say it for him and was very quite throughout the duration of the set and stayed to the back of the boys..this might have just been me and the group i went with that thought this but still. The staging was orientated so that the people who were directly facing the stage could see it, making the people who were sat on sides (aka me) really difficult to see what was going on the inner screens which was a bit frustrating  All of this seems really negative and that it was a bit of a disappointment but it really wasn't, there were fireworks, thrusting and Niall having the entire stadium sing Wonder wall which was amazing..what more could you want??! Me and my friends Chloe and Taylor danced and singed our hearts out to every song and made memories that would last forever (sorry for being cheesy). I will deffo be seeing the boys again if they do another tour and will aim for standing tickets this time.

So yeah, despite being sat on the roof and arguing with the people behind us because we were standing and they weren't and they didn't want to 'watch our backs all night' it was an amazing night which i'll never forget. Both 1D and 5sos were incredible and i'm now sat in my merch listening to Midnight Memories suffering some serious post-concert depression, SIGH.
