UNI ROOM TOUR

September has been a stressful month in all honesty. I think the hardest part of it all was moving away from home to uni and saying goodbye to my family, best friend and dog.
But I'm settled at my uni accommodation and things aren't as stressful anymore.
I'm really happy with how my rooms come along, so here's an online tour via pictures and where you can buy what's in my room. Hopefully this might be some inspiration if you're moving out.

My desk is probably my favourite part of my room, honestly I don't know why. I think it just looks really pretty.

25 QUESTIONS.

A tag post is meant to be where someone tags you in something and then you answer the questions. Nobody has tagged me in anything to answer these questions and I'm having 'writers block' which is my excuse in being totally lazy in thinking up any blog post ideas. So really this isn't a tag post at all.

Anyway, here's me answering 25 questions about myself that I found on Tumblr.

1. What is one of your biggest dreams? I don't really have a big life dream, I've never really thought of anything like that. I mean I'd love to travel the world and all that. I guess my biggest dream is to have a successful career and have a family, is that boring? That's pretty boring.
2. Name three things that are physically close to you. There's an empty mug, a big pile of geography work and a bottle of flavoured water.
3. What’s an ideal Sunday for you? Sleeping till about one, having no work to do, then knowing I don't have to wake up for sixth form the next day. Think that shows how lazy.
4. Do you drive? If so have you crashed? I had in total maybe 7 driving lessons when my instructor decided that she wasn't going to reply to any of my messages and I've not had one since. I've decided I'm just going to wait until after uni now to start learning again. I never crashed, I was an okay driver surprisingly.
5. What time did you wake up this morning? 10? Maybe half 10.
6. What’s one thing in your closet that you cannot live without? My black kimono, literally my favourite thing ever.
7. What was the last movie you saw? I think it was Into The Woods, me and my sister went to go see it and all she had to say was 'there's a lot of singing in this'.
8. What does your last text message say? 'Cooooool, well you can take a break one day I'll pull you away from your geography books (I know naff all about media or English so not even gonna talk about them)'
9. Something physical that stands out? Probably my nose because it's the size of a small child and I decided to draw more attention to it with a piercing.
10. Have you ever been to a different country? I've been lucky with traveling, thinking about it I've been all over. My dad lives in Dubai so I've been there about 5 times. Other places I've been are: Spain, Venice, Paris, Florida etc etc.
11. Do you like sushi? I love sushi so much, I could seriously live off of it. I always want to go to a sushi restaurant but non of my friends like it:(
12. What’s a song you secretly love to blast and belt out when you’re alone? Ermmm I always say I don't like Meghan Trainor but lips are moving is probably the most played song on my spotify.
13. Have you ever taken medication to help you fall asleep faster? Nope!
14. How many siblings do you have? I have 4 half brother and sisters (2 sisters, 2 brothers). Two of them are my mum and step dad's and the other two are my step mum and dad's.
15. How would you describe your style? monochrome.
16. How old will you be turning on your next birthday? 19 on the 17th of November.
17. Do you wear contacts or glasses? I should. Constantly forget that I need to wear glasses.
18. Do you colour your hair? I had red hair for about 4 years then decided to go black in September and it needs colouring every month to cover the red up.
19. Tell me something you are planning to do today. It's mothers day so I'm going to my nan's for sunday dinner. I'm excited because she makes the best roast potatoes in the world.
20. What’s the drink you always order at Starbucks? Mochaaaaa.
21. What did you want to be when you were little? I wanted to be an artist, god knows why because I can't draw/paint.
22. What’s a beauty rule you preach, but never actually practice? Always moisturise but I always forget or can't be bothered.
23. Have you ever had an all-nighter? Yess, the most recent one I did was in the summer at my house party (I wrote a post about it, check it out, thanks).
24. Can you taste the difference between Pepsi and Coke? I think I do. Maybe it’s one of those skills I think I have but actually don’t.
25. What quote/phrase do you live your life by? 'success is the best revenge'

DONT DRINK, KIDS

Hey guys, it's time for story time with Ellie..
As you may know it's the summer holidays for many of us students around the world and I'm going to share with you a story that may inspire you to not get absolutely smashed at the next party or gathering you attened.
So basically my mum and family went away and me being the miserable 17 year old I am refused to go so I was home alone for a week and I'd finally convinced my mum to let me have a small gathering, which in my defence it was but things got taken out of hand.

Me and my friends who were staying with me had gone and done our alcohol shop and had spent the day getting ready and sorting the house out. Before everyone came round we were prinking..also known as pre drinking. Which involved Sourz shots and WKD which wasn't too bad but me being the light weight i am felt a lil tipsy at about half 6 and everyone was meant to come round at 7. At about half 7 people were round and everything was fine until my friend whipped out a bottle of Absinthe which i don't recommend ANYONE buying because it is intact illegal in the UK which is understandable because it's 70% alcohol. After having about 10 shots of that, that's when things started to go down hill.

By about 8:00pm i was completely off my face, i remember answering the door to my friend and jumping on him and telling him how much i missed him which is just embarrassing considering i'd only seen him a week before. But oh no it gets worse than that boys and girls, i completely blacked out..i would love to tell you what happened between 8:00 and 11:00 but i have no idea what so ever. The last song i remember being played is what does the fox say, which is really saying something. All i remember is being sprawled out in my shower in my own sick then waking up in my bed screaming the name of a boy who was talking to me. Fair to say thinking back on it now is making me want to die because i didn't even like that boy so god knows what i was doing. Also to make the matters worse SOMEBODY TOLD HIM WHAT I WAS SAYING, so i had the joys of explaining myself in the morning and apologising to him. Whilst this was going on with me my friend who had also drank too much absinthe was in my conservatory crying her eyes out for no reason what so ever being sick. So her boyfriend was called to collect her and when he came she refused to move and was telling him how much she loved the black eyed peas and will.i.am, it's even better when you find out she hates will.i.am with a burning passion. So she left at half 11 with me not even knowing until i re gained my consciousness.

At 12:00 i found myself in my bed covered in bread (???) and dragged myself downstairs to find two of my friends passed out on my sofa covered in their own sick and then my friend and her boyfriend having an argument because he was in a state and wanted to walk home and she wanted him to get a lift with my other friend (who was sober) home. So he did a runner up my street and fell over cutting half of his face and his knee. In the end he got home but my god it took some effort. Then to make matters worse my friend decked it down the stairs ripping off part of my banister, fabby stuff. He was okay but my banister had seen better days.

The rest of the night wasn't too bad, we ordered a take away and ate it on my kitchen floor, drank some more and stayed up all night watching YouTube videos and singing the name game from american horror story. It was the morning when i realised that i shouldn't have gotten myself into the state i had because i opened the back door to find that my decking was all over the garden and that plant pots were everywhere and there was a couple of smashed glasses on the floor AND SICK WAS EVERYWHERE AND I MEAN EVERYWHERE.

At the start of the night i looked like this..(i'm the red head at the front)
Then at the end of the night i looked like this..yep that's the take away i was talking about being eaten on the floor next to the bin, classy i know. (i'm the one again with the red hair)

I know it's the summer holidays and the concept of getting drunk seems good but please drink responsibly, especially with results day coming up.
Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed hearing about me humiliate myself!

WWA MANCHESTER

Well it's been a long time since I posted on here, so I'm sorry for that! So here's a review for the One Direction-Where We Are Tour from Manchester on the 31st of May.

The opening act was 5 seconds of summer, they opened for one directon last year and they didn't fail to impress. The band were full of energy, humor and general appreciation for the crowd for turning up and helping 'fulfil their dreams' as they put it. They were bang on time which is always a good thing as people had been there waiting since 6 that morning to get into the arena so it didn't keep them waiting any longer. If they tour at some point I will 100% be getting tickets because I love 5sos so much ngl.

During the change over they had music videos playing on the big screen which kept the audience entertained and added to the vibe. Then the music videos stopped and a playlist started playing which I think was the same one from the previous tour (Take Me Home Tour) which was actually kind of emotional to realise how far the boys had actually come. Also it pretty amazing seeing 60,000 people doing the Macarena in sync with each other.

When One Direction came on they were full of life and energy which got the crowd going even more, never in my life have i seen so many screaming girls..me being one of them but still. They preformed songs of their new album, Midnight Memories, their previous album, Take Me Home and their first album, Up All Night. In this tour there was less crowd interaction than the previous tours, there were no twitter questions and the boys didn't mess around with each other as much and there was less banter between the group. Niall, Harry and Liam seemed to be the most involved within the concert, saying all the thank yous and pretty much pouring their hearts out to us, i think Louis did say thank you but it was brief whilst Zayn let the other members say it for him and was very quite throughout the duration of the set and stayed to the back of the boys..this might have just been me and the group i went with that thought this but still. The staging was orientated so that the people who were directly facing the stage could see it, making the people who were sat on sides (aka me) really difficult to see what was going on the inner screens which was a bit frustrating  All of this seems really negative and that it was a bit of a disappointment but it really wasn't, there were fireworks, thrusting and Niall having the entire stadium sing Wonder wall which was amazing..what more could you want??! Me and my friends Chloe and Taylor danced and singed our hearts out to every song and made memories that would last forever (sorry for being cheesy). I will deffo be seeing the boys again if they do another tour and will aim for standing tickets this time.

So yeah, despite being sat on the roof and arguing with the people behind us because we were standing and they weren't and they didn't want to 'watch our backs all night' it was an amazing night which i'll never forget. Both 1D and 5sos were incredible and i'm now sat in my merch listening to Midnight Memories suffering some serious post-concert depression, SIGH.
